Tribal Council Helps Purchase Jaws of Life

AKWESASNE - On Onerahtókha/April 4, 2017, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council donated $24,580 from the Community Partnership Fund for the Hogansburg-Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department (HAVFD) to purchase a Hurst Hydraulic Rescue Tool (a.k.a. Jaws of Life). The donation represents the Tribe’s ongoing commitment to utilize proceeds from its gaming enterprises to assist the fire department in ensuring a healthy and safe community.
