ARCHIVE 2004 Environment Division to Conduct Study of Well Water 07.20.04 ST. REGIS MOHAWK TRIBE - The Environment Division of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe will conduct a study of private wells on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation and Mohawk residences located within ten miles of the Reservation boundary. Well water will be tested at no cost to the homeowner. Interested community members should contact Jim Snyder at 358-5937 for more information about the study. A maximum of 250 wells and/or monitoring wells will be accepted. Tribal Council Honors 54 Tribal Employees 07.27.04 ST. REGIS MOHAWK TRIBE - Fifty-four employees of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe, representing a total of 485 years of combined experience, were honored during this year's Tribal Employee Recognition Day. The employees were recognized for their dedicated years of service on July 23 at the Barnhart Beach in Massena, N.Y. The service awards were presented following a family barbecue for employment milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20 and even 25 years of service. Akwesasne Mohawk Casino to Host Charity Golf Tournament 07.27.04 ST. REGIS MOHAWK TRIBE - The Akwesasne Mohawk Casino will be hosting a fundraising event to benefit two local non-profit organizations that provide essential services to our community. The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe's casino announced this year's inaugural event is a charity golf tournament themed "Swing for our Community" to be held at the Cornwall Country Club in Cornwall, Ontario on August 27. All proceeds raised during the event will be used to support the Cornwall Community Hospital and the Boys and Girls Club of Akwesasne. |
