The Tribal Administration oversees primary divisions. These include Finance, Office for the Aging, Food Distribution Program, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LI-HEAP), Home Improvement Program, Maintenance Department, and the Tribal Historical Preservation Office. A variety of support services are offered through the Tribal Administration to assist the various programs and better serve the needs of the community. The Tribe's centralized accounting department annually manages over $21 million in state and federal grants and contracts monies as well as tribally-generated revenues. The computer based accounting program utilizes a double-entry record keeping system, maintains uniform records of financial transactions and prepares federal, state and tribal financial reports. The Tribe operates under a letter of credit system which provides advance payments to facilitate implementation of Bureau of Indian Affairs programs. A Grants and Contracts Administrator is responsible for overseeing compliance with federal and state regulations as they pertain to the grants and contracts which fund various tribal programs. A skilled and experienced clerical staff also serves the Tribal Administration and various programs with a variety of services. In addition, a very active maintenance department keeps tribal facilities and vehicles in first-rate condition. |
