The Tribe's centralized accounting department annually manages over $21 million in state and federal grants and contract dollars as well as tribally-generated revenues. The computer based accounting program utilizes a double-entry record keeping system, maintains uniform records of financial transactions and prepares federal, state and tribal financial reports. The Tribe operates under a letter of credit system which provides advance payments to facilitate implementation of Bureau of Indian Affairs programs.
