COLLEGE EXTENSION SERVICES The extension classes offer a wide range of subject material and have allowed Mohawks to work part-time on earning a masters or bachelor s degree without leaving the reservation. A private college and one State University of New York campus provide the extension services. Since 1981, St. Lawrence University, a private, four-year liberal arts university located in nearby Canton, New York, has offered graduate courses on the reservation. The State University of New York at Potsdam, located about 30 miles from the reservation, offers undergraduate courses. These courses also are presented at the Community building.
