INDIVIDUALIZED RESIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVES (IRA) As of 2005, there are three IRA residences currently operating. There are 2 four-person residences located in Akwesasne and another six-person residence located in the town of Fort Covington. Twenty-four hour staffing assistance is provided in a home setting to our developmentally disabled clients. Individuals in these homes receive Day Habilitation, Residential Habilitation and Medicaid Service Coordination services. Each IRA has a program manager to manage staffing, upkeep of the homes and the daily activities of the residents.
