(Mohawk Translation: Remembering the Good Mind)


The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe (SRMT) in collaboration with the Center of Sex Offenders Management grant program (CSOM), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), and the Corrections Program Office (CPO). The purpose of these grants is to provide resources to jurisdictions wanting to engage in a robust planning process to develop plans for more comprehensive, collaborative, and systemic approaches to managing sex offenders in communities.

MISSION: To provide traditional and non-traditional education and treatment services for sex offenders and their victims.

GOAL: To develop methods of prevention, intervention, measuring risk factors, tracking and monitoring sex offenders. To develop a single point of entry with protocols for reporting in Akwesasne Territory.

VISION: To create a safe community free of sexual violence.
