SUPERFUND CORE The CORE program assists tribal environmental staff with developing technical and administrative skills needed for response to hazardous chemical releases. These skills are obtained through training courses offered by EPA and other sources. The CORE program has also participated in the USEPA-ERT training program by hosting training courses on the reservation. The Environment Division considers itself very fortunate to have accessed this funding to address the serious non-site-specific Superfund issues. Without this type of funding many important environmental issues may have gone unattended.
