ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE TEAM (ERT) The ERT was organized to respond to environmental incidents such as petroleum product releases and other hazardous chemicals that enter the community. The ERT is comprised of tribal environmental staff and maintenance staff who have been trained at various levels in hazardous materials response such as: awareness, operations, technician, and incident command. The ERT cooperates with other local agencies in the event of a chemical release.
