PLANNING AND INFRASTRUCTURE TO BEGIN IMPLEMENTATION OF WATER BILLING FOR BUSINESSES

AKWESASNE , NY – The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Planning and Infrastructure Department will proceed with water billing for businesses utilizing the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Waterline. The 60-day comment period had expired with no responses to date. Implementation will begin January 9^th, with a representative from the Tribe’s Water Department stopping by businesses to take inventory of all water fixtures within the business.  

Initial billing will be based on the number and type of fixtures each business has. The new system will help Planning and Infrastructure to better track usage and to provide improved service to businesses. A packet containing all pertinent information has been assembled and will be distributed to business owners upon arrival of Tribal representative.
