Environment Division Forestry Program
The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe is providing resources to assist the community with dead and downed tree limbs and branches ensuing from recent storms. In an effort to minimize burning, smoke and associated fire hazards the Environment Division Forestry Program will block wood and chip tree limbs. This public service will operate from mid-Ohiari:ha/June 25 through Ohiarihko:wa/July, for approximately 6-weeks. The priority for this project is the elderly and disabled, followed by other community members. To receive this service you must contact the Environment Division and sign a damage waiver. No standing trees will be cut down. Please contact the Environment Division, 449 Frogtown Road, phone (518) 358-5937 if you have any questions.
