2005 TRIBAL AUDIT REPORT SCHEDULED FOR JUNE 14TH
First-Quarter Financial Reports for Current Fiscal Year to be Presented

AKWESASNE , NY — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe will be holding a public meeting on June 14, 2006 to present its 2005 Financial and Compliance Audit Report. An annual audit was recently conducted by certified public accountants of the Joseph Eve Group and their findings will be shared with interested tribal members. The meeting will provide a general overview and to discuss the Tribe’s financial activities for 2005. This year’s first-quarter financial reports for the Tribal General Fund, Federal Programs and both of the Tribe’s gaming facilities will also be presented.

A brief overview of the Tribe’s financial performance in 2005 revealed that the tribal government’s financial status continues to remain stable, with a minimal increase in net assets of government activities. The increase is attributed to the successful operation of the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino and the Mohawk Bingo Palace .

The annual financial analysis also noted the continuing construction and completion of several capital projects of the Tribe. It reports on the construction of the new waterline that will dramatically improve the Tribe’s water system and overall infrastructure. It also noted the ongoing construction of key roads, upgrades to the sewer and solid waste disposal facility, and the installation of 800 Class III slot machines at the casino. The completion of the Tribe’s Day Care Facility Expansion Project was also acknowledged.

A public presentation of the 2005 Audit Report will be provided by Joseph Eve, Managing Partner of the Joseph Eve Group; Brian Fent, Chief Financial Officer for the Tribe; Tribal Financial Directors; and members of the Tribal Council.

The meeting will be held on June 14, 2006 at 6:30pm in the lobby of the Tribe’s Community Building . All interested tribal members are encouraged to attend.
