LIONS CLUB MEETING TONIGHT AT THE AKWESASNE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

AKWESASNE , NY — The Lions Club will be holding an organizational meeting tonight at the Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club. The meeting begins at 7:30pm and will continue discussions on the benefits of a local chapter planned for the Akwesasne community.

All Akwesasne residents are invited to come and learn about this service organization and how it can help in responding to local issues. Some causes the Lions Club have undertaken include diabetes awareness, blindness and visual impairment, drug abuse, youth outreach and other services that help meet community needs.

Please join community members who have already expressed a willingness to help in the formation of an Akwesasne chapter. Regional and local Lions Club representatives will be available to answer any questions and to discuss possible club projects in Akwesasne.
