WHY:
Community members can expect to pay more this winter for home heating as a result of increased energy costs. The Tribal Council wanted to expand on its fuel assistance program from 2004 for seniors and include low-income households. The contributions of the Tribe’s two casinos will assist hundreds of households and is an example of tribal gaming giving back to the community.
