SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Senior Accountant for TGF, the Account Receivable Clerk is responsible for providing courteous and friendly customer service. The Account Receivable Clerk is the Finance front desk and is the information hub to the department. The Account Receivable Clerk is to follow the guidelines of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe policies and procedures, internal control standards and objectives by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Prepares and enters all tribal cash receipt entries into the automated financial system using MIP.
Prepares and logs all tribal banking deposits
Maintains all related files and supporting documents in an orderly and up-to-date manner
Distributes all outgoing and internal checks
Perform general office duties such as scanning, filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence
Upload and index scanned documents using OnBase
Receives and processes program advances
Provides duplicate payment receipts to childcare and transfer station
Provides back-up in the absence of the other Accounts Receivable Clerk
Promote the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe in a positive manner
Exhibit a helpful and courteous manner when dealing with co-workers and community members.
Other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisor requirements for this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate’s Degree from a College or University in Accounting or related field and at least 1 year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Consideration will be given to an equivalent, relevant combination of education/experience in Accounting. Knowledgeable regarding the OMB Super Circular and prior experience in Fund Accounting is an asset but not required. Must be at least 21 years of age.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Strong oral and written communication skills required. Must have excellent computer skills including word, excel, and experience with varying databases. Computer testing in the applicable skills may be a requirement during the interview process.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
