SUMMARY: College interns will be placed in various departments within the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Health Services Division. Applicants will be under the supervision of departments requesting interns. We will do our best to place students in areas that are specific to their career path.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Job placements will vary upon request from departments requesting College Interns
  • Performs a wide variety of tasks depending on the departmental assignment. These functions may encompass providing technical support, administrative responsibilities, or field work, related to departmental operations or programs.
  • Attend program orientation
  • Assist supervisors with job specific duties
  • Adhere to Tribal and departmental policies
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisor requirements for this position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be enrolled in college/university and/or returning in Fall of 2025 as a Junior or Senior

 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

The successful candidate must pass a drug test, based on placement a criminal background check may be required prior to employment.

 

May be required, depending on placement, to be at least 18 years of age, have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract in accordance with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Fleet Policy.
