SUMMARY: The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for all aspects of the scheduling packing for the medical clinic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Present a friendly and courteous demeanor to staff and clients at all times
- Schedule appointments for patients
- Ensure providers schedules are updated daily to reflect availability
- Refer all non-routine requests for appointments to the clinic staff for triaging
- Answer telephone, transfer calls to appropriate staff or take messages for staff
- Schedule lab visits
- Cancel appointments as necessary
- Protect privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisor requirements for this position.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED.
SKILLS and ABILITIES: Preferred experience in customer service
COMPUTER: Must have computer skills
ORGANIZATION: Must have excellent organizational skills
ABILITIES: The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience so others will understand. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
COMPREHENSION: Ability to listen and to understand information that is being presented. The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
