Community Ash Tree Survey Project Workshop

at the Akwesasne Housing Authority. The focus of this meeting will center on the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) community volunteer program and it key components:
- The background and life cycle of EAB
- EAB impacts to tribal community forests
- How many trees are needed and why community members are being asked to help
- View the sampling map
- How community members can participate
- How an ash tree is girdled
- Ash tree peeling in the fall and information about a fall workshop
