State of Emergency Notices

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe has declared a State of Emergency and due to the impending weather, the following is a list of closures and cancellations:

1) The Traffic Court for tonight, October 29, 2012, at 6 p.m. is cancelled due to the weather. Reschedule notices will be sent to those having appearances tonight.

2) The Medical Clinic will close after hours today from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Clinic and Pharmacy will be open until 5:00 p.m.

3) All Let’s Get Healthy Program Fitness Classes, including the Nurse Supervised - Move for Health has been cancelled for Monday October 29 & Tuesday October 30. For more information please call the Let’s Get Healthy Program Office at 358-9667. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.

4) The EPA meeting to discuss the proposed remedial action plan for the Grasse River scheduled for tonight at the Senior Center has been cancelled and may be rescheduled at a later date.

5) The SRMT’s Alcoholism/Chemical Dependency Outpatient Program is cancelling Men’s group that was scheduled for 4:30 p.m. today at the Outpatient Office.

6) In case of a power outage, there will be safe, clean, drinking water available to the community. There are generators at the treatment plants but water will be generated by gravity feed from the Tower. In case of public water or sewer emergency, please contact the water treatment plant at 358-6159, Wastewater Treatment Plant 358-2869 or contact Tribal Police 358-9200.
