Tribe Announces CITGO/Citizen’s Energy Fuel Assistance for 2012

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is pleased to announce that the CITGO Petroleum and Citizens Energy have awarded funding to assist Tribal Members. The program will provide $257 for heating assistance for all those who meet all eligibility guidelines. The 2012 CITGO Petroleum Home Heating Assistance program has developed eligibility guidelines for administrators to utilize for this year’s program.

This year’s program guidelines are as follows:

  • Must be an enrolled member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe
  • Must be within the jurisdiction of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe
  • Must provide a heating assistance supplier invoice or statement
  • Household income must be within 60% of the state’s median income guideline as per LIHEAP program guidelines
  • A LIHEAP approval letter for 2012 must be presented prior to the completion of an application

Applications will be available starting Monday February 27, 2012 at the SRMT Compliance Department on a first-come first-serve basis. Applicants must provide all required information prior to completing an application. The benefit shall provide eligible applicants a one-time allotment of $257 toward the applicant’s heating source supplier.
