Tribal Chief Beverly Cook Receives Indian Health Service Award

AKWESASNE Congratulations to Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Chief Beverly Cook on receiving the Directors Award for Excellence from the Indian Health Service Nashville Area Office on Tsiothóhrha/December 7, 2017. Chief Cook was one of six individuals recognized for their years of extraordinary service to the Indian Health Service or a tribal health program. She received the highest level of recognition from the Nashville Area Director “for her exploration of innovative health treatment options and her service on multiple health related workgroups representing Nashville Area Tribal Nations.” Joining in the award presentation were (from left) Acting Director for Indian Health Service Rear Admiral (RADM) Michael D. Weahkee, Tribal Chief Beverly Cook, IHS Nashville Area Director Martha Ketcher and IHS Nashville Area Office Executive Officer Mark Skinner.
