With NYS in the process of their NY Forward plan, we have also begun modifying our protocols to ensure we are able to see community members that require health care services. Now and in the next few weeks, you will see some changes for us to begin bringing back patients and letting them know where to go for their appointments.
To continue keeping our density levels down and to follow social distancing at the medical clinic, we will also be utilizing the Diabetes Center of Excellence for appointments. This does not mean that the Diabetes Center is fully operational, as it was before the COVID19 Pandemic. The fitness room, theatre kitchen, meditation and Clubhouse will remain closed to accommodate our Chiropractic and footcare services full time, along with a medical provider. We have also started having our Patient Registration staff begin calling our clients 24 to 48 hours before their appointment to preregister. To help this process, we ask that you please answer any phone calls from our facility and bring in any documents that may be required.
In the next few weeks, you will see new signs going up around the medical clinic and at the Diabetes Center for you to call when you’re in the parking lot for your appointment. Staff will be able to tell you if they are ready for you to come in immediately, or when an exam room will be ready. This will keep the number of people to a minimum in the waiting room and will ensure that the front entrance won’t get backed up. We will still be screening everyone upon entering the facilities.
Please remember that, unless you are specifically told otherwise, our services are open Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., as well as from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday’s by appointment only. Pharmacy curbside pick-up hours will be Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Saturday pick-ups available from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. On June 22nd, we may be able to resume dental services.
We do ask that you please keep your appointment and show up on time, as well as wear a mask at all times. We also ask that during the screening process, for the safety of our community members, that you please answer all questions honestly. We are not trying to pry into anyone’s private life or health situation, but we are trying to determine how to best treat you and keep our employees safe at the same time.
Please know that this continuing to be trying times for everyone and we are doing our best to continue meeting the health needs of our community.
