Tribe’s EOC Reports 2 New COVID-19 Cases: 13 Total Active

Pfizer Vaccine Clinic for 16 & 17yr-olds Tomorrow, 10am-1pm @ former-IGA

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting two (2) new case of COVID-19 today — making 13 total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. No community members were released from isolation and 16 family members and friends are in quarantine. Our new case numbers remain low, but we ask everyone to please remain vigilant and follow all the safety protocols that continue to be recommended by the EOC, Public Health, and the CDC.

COVID-19 WALK-IN VACCINE CLINIC:

Saint Regis Mohawk Health Services is holding an open COVID-19 Walk-in Vaccine Clinic tomorrow on Friday, April 16th for individuals ages 16 and 17-years old who are interested in receiving the Pfizer vaccine. The walk-in clinic will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the former-IGA Building. A parent or guardian must be present to get vaccinated. For more information, please call (518) 333-0230.

COVID-19 TEST COLLECTION CLINIC:

Health Services is holding a COVID-19 Test Collection Clinic on Tuesday, April 20th at the former-IGA Building from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (or until test kits last). Testing does not need to done weekly however, individuals who have traveled outside of the Tribe’s 300-mile travel radius or haven’t been compliant with safety protocols should get tested. Additionally, if you have a suspected exposure to a positive case you should get tested no sooner than seven (7) days after the exposure took place.

FEMA COVID-19 FUNERAL ASSISTANCE:

FEMA is providing financial assistance to individuals and families who have lost a loved one due to COVID-19 after January 20, 2020. They have a dedicated toll-free phone number and representatives available to help with the application process.
