SRMT Enrichment Award Winner Charlene White - IPP Parent Advocate

AKWESASNE – The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe (SRMT) Employee Enrichment Awards promote and recognize the contributions of our dedicated team members for their outstanding professionalism, collaboration, initiative and integrity as they serve the Akwesasne community.

On Friday, July 28, 2023, a Staff Appreciation Beach Day was held to honor SRMT staff for their contributions and announce the 2023 Summer Enrichment Award Winners. A total of five awards were given and the spotlight this week goes to Charlene “Char” White of the Intensive Preventative Program.

Char is being recognized for enriching the workplace with her compassionate nature, work ethic, and her dedication to her coworkers, clients, and the IPP program.

Char is a veteran Parent Advocate with IPP, providing years of excellence in client care. She is no stranger to going above and beyond for those she cares for and the IPP program. Often, she will spend entire days with her clients to ensure all their needs are met to the highest of standards. When a client reaches out for assistance, Char jumps into action immediately to help them. She is a mentor for youth advocates, a positive role model for her peers, and has shown excellence in her job duties. Most notably, Char is always punctual and excels in communicating with staff.

She is always thinking of innovative ways to improve client programming, working closely with families to ensure they have all the skills they require to be successful. Her dedication to her job is one that her clients and coworkers can attest to. She extends generosity to the workplace, and never hesitates to assist her fellow coworkers.

She often shares her knowledge of traditional teachings with others, encouraging and enriching the workplace. She is well respected among her peers and sets a good example for the IPP team.  Char is an amazing person, employee, and role model for the community earning her the Summer 2023 Enrichment Award.
