SUMMARY: Under the direction of the A/CDP Assistant Clinical Director, the Clubhouse Supervisor will oversee the development and implementation of the Alcoholism/Chemical Dependency Program’s Ronthahiiohsthà:ke Clubhouse Component of the Saint Regis Mohawk Health Services. The Clubhouse Supervisor will provide a safe and welcoming environment to youth and young adults to encourage the development of pro-social skills that promote long-term health, wellness, recovery, and a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- To maintain proper procedures and compliance with NYS OASAS guidelines, federal SAMSHA guidelines, and the SRMT Health Services personnel manual.
- Create a safe and positive learning environment for youth and young adults
- Exhibit a friendly and courteous manner when dealing with Clubhouse participants, families, fellow employees, and associates.
- Oversee, plan, and monitor the proper procedures for implementing activities that promote long-term health, wellness, recovery, and prevention of substance use.
- Organize and implement daily planning of events such as cultural events, educational activities, guest speakers, and presentations.
- Establish positive working relationships with youth and young adult-serving agencies.
- Responsible for promoting and recruiting clubhouse membership and maintaining membership applications.
- Promote and work in a team-based setting to meet program goals.
- Oversee the collection and submission of all necessary data pertaining to the Clubhouse
- Preparation and submission of program's monthly and yearly reports
- Work in conjunction with the A/CDP Grant Coordinator on pre- and post-grant applications and grant reporting requirements.
- Work in conjunction with the Assistant Clinical Director, finance, and Grant Coordinator to develop and monitor the budgets.
- Oversee program budgets, spending, and purchasing of items for the program.
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate Clubhouse staff and make recommendations regarding training, job performance, and disciplinary actions.
- Establish and enforce rules and regulations in order to maintain and ensure the safety of staff and participants.
- Schedule and monitor maintenance requirements of the of the program assets and supply inventories.
- Able to participate in the necessary training for this position.
- Accept other duties as programming needs develop
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: To supervise Clubhouse workers and participants.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This individual should be energetic, self-motivated, compassionate, and hard working. They should also be knowledgeable of community dynamics and resources as well as trauma-informed care.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A minimum of an Associate’s degree.
- Six (6) months of documented supervisory experience is an asset
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Strong oral and written communication skills required. Must have excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel, for reporting and staffing payroll purposes.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of daily situations.
Must be at least 21 years of age, have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract in accordance with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Fleet Policy.
Minimum two years of sobriety (if a recovering person).
