Search for Two Escaped Convicts Expanded

Akwesasne, NY - Law enforcement agencies are continuing to follow-up on every lead in an effort to apprehend two escaped convicts. As a result, the search area for the two convicts has been expanded throughout Northern New York State, with the assistance of local police departments.
The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police Department will be providing their assistance and coordination efforts in searching the surrounding area in conjunction with the New York State Police. This may entail an increased presence of law enforcement in the area, as well as police aircraft being utilized to aid in the search.
Residents are encouraged to exercise caution and to be aware of their surroundings as they go about their daily activities. Please report any suspicious activity or persons you may encounter to local law enforcement.
