Room Occupancy Fee Contributes $4,000 to Salmon River Mohawk Club

AKWESASNE -- On Enníska/February 28, 2017 The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council contributed $4,000 from the Tribe’s Room Occupancy Fee to help support the Salmon River Central School Mohawk Club’s third annual cultural exchange with the Santa Fe Indian School. The donation complements the club’s own fundraising efforts that raised $1,000 and will enable ten Mohawk Club students, along with chaperones Katsitsionni Fox and Kenny Perkins, to travel from April 18-24, 2017 to Santa Fe, New Mexico and share cultural experiences, as well as build lasting friendships between the two tribal communities.
