May 2021 Monthly Tribal Meeting Canceled

AKWESASNE — In accordance with the 2013 Tribal Procedures Act, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council is providing notification to membership that the regularly scheduled Monthly Tribal Meeting for May 2021 has been canceled. The next Monthly Tribal Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 12th, with Tribal Chief Beverly Cook serving as chairperson.

Tribal members are reminded that the Annual Tribal Caucus will be held on Saturday, May 1st at the former-IGA Building. Only nominees and nominators are permitted to attend due to COVID-19 safety protocols. Individuals may watch a live feed of the nominations on Akwesasne TV’s and the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Facebook pages at the following times:

  • 10:00 a.m.—Tribal Clerk Nomination
  • 10:30 a.m.—Tribal Sub-Chief Nomination
  • 11:00 a.m.—Tribal Chief Nomination

The Annual Tribal Election will take place on Saturday, June 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the former-IGA Building. Tribal voters are asked to please wear a mask and practice social distancing. Individuals who will be 18-years old or older on election day are asked to verify their voting eligibility by calling the Tribal Clerk’s Office at (518) 358-2272.
