The mission of the Education Division of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is to promote, support and respect the culturally relevant and academic needs of our community members by empowering life-long learners through quality educational learning opportunities and experiences.

Services

Tribal Learning Assistance Program (TLAP)

The Tribal Learning Assistance Program (TLAP) is able to assist eligible clients with providing access to services through our intake process.

Kanien'kéha Language Program

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe (SRMT) is committed to providing opportunities for community members and employees to learn our Kanien’kéha (Mohawk language). Housed within the Education Division, community language classes are offered at various times throughout the year for community members and SRMT employees.

Akwesasne Research Center for Health (ARCH)

The ARCH is a four-year grant awarded by Indian Health Service (IHS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The newly established ARCH kicks off its first project – The Saint Regis Mohawk Research Scholars Program. This program includes three major components: Mohawk Youth Health Ambassador (MYHA) Afterschool Program; High School Summer Research Internships; and College Summer Research Internships.
