Community & Family Services

The Community and Family Services Division offers several programs, including the Care Management Program, Child Support Enforcement Unit, Family Support, Homeowners Assistance Program, Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation, Community Advocacy Program, Three Sisters Domestic Violence Advocacy, Family and Victim Advocacy, and Sage Home Shelter Services. Community Partnership Fund

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe, the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort and Mohawk Bingo Palace established a fund that aids non-profit organizations and Tribal members. Applicants are considered on a first come, first serve basis, as funds are available. Learn more →
 

Economic Development

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Office of Economic Development is committed to promoting economic self-sufficiency through the provision of training, technical assistance and financing designed to support the development of new and expanded businesses, which shall support a strengthened and diversified economy, while creating new employment opportunities. Environment

The mission of the Environment Division is to manage, protect and restore our natural resources for generations to come. The Environment Division consists of the Agriculture Program, Air Quality Program, Environmental Assessments, Water Resources Program, Land Resources, Remediation and Restoration, Solid Waste Management and St. Lawrence Environment Trustee Council.  Learn more →
 

Executive Director's Office

The Office of the Executive Director through the Executive Director, two assistant Executive Directors and immediate staff, has the responsibility for the direction and management of the work force and to ensure that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with applicable state, federal and tribal regulations. Finance

To identify and record all of the activities that impact the Tribe financially. Our mission is to do so while supplying outstanding service and solutions through perseverance, innovation and technology. Ultimately, it is our goal to provide a sound financial management infrastructure so that all of the departments are assured of sound accounting and are therefore better equipped to concentrate on delivering the essential community programs and services. Generations Park

Located at 30 Margaret Terrance Memorial Way, Generations Park offers a space for public and private events, recreational play, sports leagues and one-time games. The park also offers a concession stand and playground. Learn more →
 

Grants & Contracts

Grants and Contracts has been delegated the responsibility and authority to negotiate and enter into contracts/agreements, and oversee federal and state grants on behalf of the various divisions of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. Learn more →

Home Improvement Supplement Program

The Home Improvement Division provides an array of home repair assistance to low-income families who occupy privately-owned housing, and that are identified as the highest priority on the southern portion of the Akwesasne Mohawk Territory. Services are prioritized to serve the elderly, disabled, homes with children, and low-income with eligibility based on enrollment, residency, land ownership and income guidelines. Learn more →

 

Human Resources

The Human Resource office provides recruitment services for the programs of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe by advertising open positions for employment, accepting resumes and applications from the public and assisting with the selection process of eligible candidates. Learn more →

Tribal Police

Mission: To provide law enforcement services to the Mohawks of Akwesasne. To answer calls for service from community members expeditiously and professionally. To investigate crimes, mediate and resolve disputes where possible and to actively participate in crime prevention programs and other community safety programs. Learn more →
