AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Planning and Infrastructure Department announced that a Control Schedule for the 2022-2025 Tribal Transportation Plan is now available for public comment. The Control Schedule identifies four (4) road projects that have been prioritized for the next four (4) years: Frogtown Road, Tarbell Road, Beaver Meadow Road, and Pump House Road. The projects entail reconstruction and other enhancements to improve road safety for local residents and the traveling public.
Approximately 2.1-miles of Frogtown Road will receive reconstruction; which will commence in 2023 or 2024, depending on funding, and includes a new subbase, culverts, pavement, markings, and improvements to drainage and signage. Reconstruction is scheduled to conclude in 2024.
The 1.6-mile stretch of Tarbell Road will also be reconstructed in 2025.
Beaver Meadow Road’s 1.3-mile length will be reconstructed in 2025 or 2026, depending on funding; while the 0.4-mile Pump House Road is scheduled to be surveyed and submitted for design this year.
