Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Presents Draft 2020 Annual Tribal Budget

AKWESASNE — In accordance with the Tribal Procedures Act ratified by tribal voters in a community referendum held on Ohiarí:ha/June 1, 2013; the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is continuing to provide financial accountability to membership in the development and adoption of the organization’s Annual Tribal Budget. The Tribe will be convening a public meeting at Ionkwakiohkwaróron on Kentenhkó:wa/November 14, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. to present and explain the Draft 2020 Annual Tribal Budget.

Beginning this week, tribal members are able to request a copy from the Tribal Administration Building’s main reception desk prior to the public presentation on November 14th.

Following the Kentenhkó:wa/November 14th public meeting, tribal members will have fifteen (15) days to provide any written questions, comments or concerns about the Draft 2020 Annual Tribal Budget. Comments may be dropped off at the Ionkwakiohkwaróron Tribal Administration Building or mailed to: Office of the Executive Director, 71 Margaret Terrance Memorial Way, Akwesasne NY 13655.

Following receipt of any written comments, a second public meeting will be scheduled for responses to be provided — tentatively scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in the Tribal Administration Building’s lobby on Tsiothóhrha/December 5, 2019.

Following the meeting, the Draft 2020 Annual Tribal Budget will be presented to the Tribal Council for approval and adoption by tribal council resolution during their weekly work session scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Tsiothóhrha/December 11, 2019.
