Tribe’s EOC Reports Zero New COVID-19 Cases: 9 Total Active

AKWESASNE — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today, which leaves nine (9) total active cases under the Tribe’s jurisdiction. We are pleased that one (1) of our relatives has resolved however, the number of family and friends in quarantine remains at 64. Please extend them kindness and wishes for a safe recovery.

Public Health Departments are doing their best to keep pace with the number of individuals being required to quarantine. For those who have received quarantine orders; please remain at home, do not travel in the community, and follow all the measures being prescribed by health officials. For those who suspect they’ve been exposed to a positive case and are awaiting notification, please self-quarantine and monitor your symptoms for fever or chills, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, or loss of taste or smell. As a reminder, individuals should get tested if they are displaying symptoms or have been in direct contact with a confirmed case. If you haven’t been exposed to the virus and don’t show any symptoms, then you don’t need a test. For anyone seeking to obtain their COVID-19 results for a test conducted by the Tribe’s Health Services or its mass testing provider, please call the clinic’s new direct line at (518) 333-0230.
