You are invited! The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Election Board will be hosting an information meeting regarding the proposed ordinance changes. The proposed questions for the June 2024 ballot are as follows:
Caucus: Do you approve of eliminating the requirement of having a person present at Caucus to accept a nomination?
Annual Caucus Date: Do you approve of having a set date for the Annual Caucus being the third Saturday in April?
Write In Candidates: Do you approve of eliminating write-in candidates?
Approval: Only if you voted yes above, please answer the following questions- If there is only one candidate nominated and qualifies should that person be declared the Acclaimed Winner without voting? This person would be vetted to ensure they met the requirements of the nominated position, but whose name would not appear on the ballot.
