CITGO / Citizen's Energy 2010-2011 SRMT Heating Fuel Assistance

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is pleased to announce that CITGO Petroleum through Citizens Energy has awarded funding to assist low-income Tribal Members with 100 gallons of petroleum product for heating assistance.

The 2011 CITGO Petroleum Home Heating Assistance program has developed guidelines to applicants to be eligible for this year’s program. This year’s program guidelines are as follows:

  • Must be an enrolled member of the SRMT
  • Must reside within the jurisdiction of the SRMT
  • Must provide heating fuel supplier invoice or statement, to show the applicant’s supplier. All suppliers must be licensed with the Tribe’s Compliance Department.
  • House-hold income must be within the 60% of the state’s median income guideline as per the Low Income Heating Assistance Program (LIHEAP) guidelines, as evidenced by a LIHEAP approval letter for 2010 – 2011. Applicants must present the letter to the Compliance Office prior to the completion of an application.

Applications shall be available starting Monday March 21, 2011 at the SRMT Compliance Department on a first-come first-serve basis as the awarded is limited and may be allocated until the allocation is completely awarded to eligible applicants. The benefit shall provide eligible applicants a one (1) time delivery of 100 gallons of heating fuel oil, kerosene or propane.
