The Employment & Training Services (ETS) is dedicated to empowering Tribal members by supporting their journey toward meaningful employment and long-term self-sufficiency. Whether you're currently unemployed, underemployed, entering the workforce for the first time, or exploring a new career path, our team is here to guide and support you every step of the way.
We understand that every individual’s journey is unique. That’s why we work one-on-one with clients to assess their interests, identify strengths , and develop personalized plans to help them reach their employment and education goals. Our services are designed not only to help you find a job—but to build a sustainable career that brings pride, stability, and opportunity.
How We Can Help
Our Employment & Training program offers a wide range of services to support your success, including:
Career Counseling & Goal Setting – Work with our team to identify your career interests and create a clear, achievable path forward.
Job Readiness Training – Get support with resume writing, interview preparation, professional communication, and workplace expectations.
- Work Experience Placements – Students hired for the Summer Highschool Internship will be placed in various departments within the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. Applicants will be under the supervision of departments requesting interns and the Career Coordinator.
Job Search Assistance – Receive help with identifying job openings, submitting applications, and networking with potential employers.
- Temporary Transportation Support – Assistance with transportation may be available on a case-by-case basis to help you reach your educational and employment-related goals.
3-Month Looking Program – Partnership with Child Care Services to provide childcare subsidy for unemployed parents actively job seeking.
- Supportive Services – ETS offers aid with work attire, equipment and other needs that may arise during job training or employment. Services are provided based on eligibility and available resources.
- Ongoing Mentorship – We stay connected with clients to provide encouragement, accountability, and support throughout their career journey.
Certification & Licensure Support
The Employment & Training Services (ETS) provides personalized support to individuals seeking careers in technical and skilled trades programs. We assist clients with enrollment, funding guidance, and job readiness in high-demand fields.
We partner with local vocational schools, community colleges, and training institutes to ensure you receive quality instruction and hands-on experience. Financial assistance for tuition, supplies, uniforms, and certifications may be available for qualified participants.
We help eligible clients obtain certifications that employers look for in a variety of fields, such as First Aid & CPR, OSHA Safety Certifications, Forklift Operation, ServSafe Food Handling, and several other food safety training programs. We also offer support in other industry-specific certifications based on your career goals. These certifications not only make your resume stand out—they give you a competitive edge in today’s job market.

Eligibility Requirements
To enroll in the Employment & Training Program, applicants must provide:
- A completed TLAP Application
- Proof of Tribal Enrollment
- Proof of Residency
- A completed ET Profile Form
