Summary: Under the direction of the Employment and Training Services Manager, the Career Intern Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering the Employment and Training Services (ETS) Summer Internship Program. The position supports student internship placements and employer partnerships to promote positive, meaningful, and successful work experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Adhere to all applicable Tribal and departmental policies and standards
- Coordinate with employers to support intern recruitment, placement matching, and interview processes
- Support interns in developing workplace readiness skills, including professionalism, communication, confidentiality, and accountability
- Monitor intern progress and address performance or workplace concerns in collaboration with employers
- Maintain regular communication with interns and employers to ensure successful placements and positive experiences
- Administer pre- and post-program evaluations and support program reporting and continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records to support data tracking and reporting requirements
Mandated Reporter: Must become a mandated reporter prior to having contact with children in a job-related capacity and maintain that status throughout employment. This includes completing any necessary training and adhering to all reporting obligations as defined by applicable laws and tribal policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisor requirements for this position.

Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED with two (2) years of experience in program coordination;
OR
- Two- or four-year college degree in social services, education, or business.
- Minimum of six (6) months working with youth or young adults.
Other Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and written communication skills required. Must have excellent computer skills including word, excel, and experience with varying databases.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Fleet Policy.
The successful candidate must pass a drug test and background check prior to employment.
