Summary: Under the direction of the Healing to Wellness Court Coordinator, the Case Manager is responsible for the administrative work, coordination of activities and supervision of participants in the Family Treatment Court.  The Case Manager will facilitate meetings and information sharing amongst team members; and, for participants provide and monitor services, drug test administration, develop treatment plans in conjunction with the Healing to Wellness Court Team, and manage data on any computer system to be employed.   

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

 

  • Exhibit a professional and courteous manner when dealing with our clients.
  • Serves on the Healing to Wellness Court Team and promotes team integrity while working with other members of the team including SRMT’s: Police, DSS, SAS and Tribal Judge(s) Works closely with the Healing to Wellness Court Coordinator and Tribal Court Judge.
  • Attends and participates in conferences, meetings and committees as a SRMT Court Representative.
  • Scheduling case meetings and court hearings.
  • Plans, administers, implements and monitors day to day activities of the Family Treatment Court, shares information during team meetings and arranges court-based-drug testing.
  • Facilitates community presentations, coordinates community services, develops community resources.
  • Develops agendas, collects data.
  • Maintains cooperative relationships with treatment agencies, community organizations, SRMT Programs and Departments, and other agencies represented on the Healing to Wellness Court Team.
  • Assist the Healing to Wellness Court program processes and operations.
  • Serve as liaison between Healing to Wellness Court Team members and treatment providers.
  • Responsible for client supervision and ensuring processes used in the Healing to Wellness Court comply with established program goals.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

Mandated Reporter: Must become a mandated reporter prior to having contact with children in a job-related capacity and maintain that status throughout employment. This includes completing any necessary training and adhering to all reporting obligations as defined by applicable laws and tribal policies.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisor requirements for this position.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’sdegree (B.A.) in Public or Court Administration, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health or Health Administration or related field from an accredited university.
    • Six (6) months of experience in probation, addiction counseling, and/or business or program operations preferred

OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience in related fields.

 

Other Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and written communication skills required. Must have excellent computer skills including word, excel, and experience with varying databases.  Computer testing in the applicable skills may be a requirement during the interview process.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

 

The successful candidate must pass a drug test and PL 101-630 background check prior to employment.
