Summary: The Healing to Wellness Court Coordinator leads the development and implementation of the HWC policy and procedures ensuring consistency, compliance and operational efficiency in coordination with the Chief Judge. Is responsible for building and maintaining collaborative relationships with judges, attorneys, probation officers, treatment providers and community stakeholders to increase referrals and improve program outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Plans, manages, administers, implements, and monitors day to day activities of the Healing to Wellness Court and serves on the Healing to Wellness Court Team.
- Create and monitors treatment plans in coordination with treatment providers to help participants follow and successfully complete the program
- Creates and maintains client files while following strict confidentially standards
- Introduce potential clients to the HWC and the program requirements
- Conducts intake-screening and assessment interviews and referrals for clients.
- Assist with access to community resources such as - vocational counseling, public assistance, mental health services, high school equivalency course, and literacy classes.
- Collects program data, and advise the HWC team of any noncompliance issues and make recommendations regarding compliance
- May create periodic fiscal and progress reports,
- Leads and coordinates team meetings with information sharing and arrangement of court-based drug testing.
- Supervise and oversee the work of the Family Treatment Court
- All other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Healing to Wellness Court Coordinator supervises Healing to Wellness Court Staff, which includes the Case Manager and two peer mentors.
Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; have strong analytical and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; ability to prioritize and organize as well as plan and manage multiple assignments efficiently and effectively.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Public or Court Administration, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health or Health Administration, Business or related field from an accredited university.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Six (6) months of experience in probation, addiction counseling, and/or business or program operations preferred.
OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience in related fields.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Fleet Policy.
The successful candidate must pass a drug test and PL 101-630 background check prior to employment.
