SUMMARY:  Provide safety and security of Partridge House property and grounds by enforcing house Policies, Rules and Operating Procedures while supervising clients. Have a good understanding of alcoholism/chemical dependency as a disease.  Possess good reading and writing skills.  Must be able to work shift work and weekends.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

  • Mandated Reporter: Must become a mandated reporter prior to having contact with children in a job-related capacity and maintain that status throughout employment. This includes completing any necessary training and adhering to all reporting obligations as defined by applicable laws and tribal policies.
  • Know, understand, and uphold all house Policies, Rules and Operating Procedures of the Partridge House Inpatient Program relating to resident care;
  • Maintain all confidentiality standards and regulations (e.g. Federal, State, and Tribal);
  • Provide direct supervision to all Resident Aides;
  • Monitor Residents Aides’ interaction among clients and staff;
  • Ability to work nights, evenings, and holidays. Flexible schedule a must;
  • Knowledge of addiction treatment settings and an understanding of 12 step support programs are assets;
  • Knowledge of cultural teachings and ceremonies preferred;
  • Supervise the dispensing of client medication given by Resident Aides;
  • Work in a team-based setting.
  • Instruct Resident Aides on the proper use of Program Assets, Client Activities and Expected Behaviors;
  • Develop and coordinate a weekend client outing/activity schedule for clients
  • Teach and instruct on ethical principles of interaction with clients and staff;
  • Maintain all paperwork when hiring new Resident Aides to include initializing adobe sign and maintain Human Resources’ paperwork requirements;
  • Facilitate communication between Resident Aides, and Inpatient Program Coordinator;
  • Communicate all pertinent information to the oncoming staff;
  • Hold scheduled Resident Aide meetings for information, direction and assistance;
  • Develop and coordinate an approved monthly Resident Aide schedule and make appropriate changes when necessary;
  • Develop and maintain weekly changes for the client responsibility therapy list (chores);
  • Develop and maintain daily Resident Aide check list;
  • Perform all duties in an ethical manner and comply with all ethical standards of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe;
  • Maintain all security procedures essential to operations;
  • Maintain all fleet logs, registrations, gas receipts, insurance, etc.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to be certified.
  • Must be willing to attend job-related trainings and seminars.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for direct shift supervision of Partridge House Resident Aides.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

  • Must have a high-school diploma or GED with
  • 2 years’ experience in the alcoholism/chemical dependency field.
  • 1-year supervisory experience preferred.

 

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:  Strong listening, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required. Must have excellent computer skills. Possess individual and group counseling skills. 

 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
