Summary: Under the direction of the Food Distribution Manager, the Warehouse Worker is responsible for inventories and distribution of food commodities to eligible community members. The Warehouse Worker assume responsibility for developing, monitoring and ensuring all storage and handling of food commodities are within safe guidelines of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe (SRMT) and Federal policies and procedures, that all internal control standards and objectives are met by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Exhibit a friendly and courteous manner when dealing with our clients and other individuals
- Loads, unloads, and moves materials and supplies using safety equipment, and trucks, and front-end loaders/forklifts when required.
- Oversees and records deliveries and pickups to ensure quality and quantity of products.
- Documents inventory losses through. demurrage, damage, etc.
- Operate and utilize inventory and logistics software programs
- Determines appropriate places for storage assuring that stocking and stacking conforms to safety procedures and product protection requirements.
- Maintains files in a secure area for-minimum required duration as per guidelines.
- Assist in analyzing policies, government regulations, and recommend changes and amendments when necessary to remain in compliance with all agencies guidelines.
- Assist Clients when needed in choosing healthy food options from inventory.
- Assist clients, by aiding with loading/deliveries of food commodities.
- Establish, maintain, track and produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual statistics and reports for all distributed and inventoried food.
- Assist with checking out clients in the grocery store and also preparing client food commodities orders.
- Establish a system or develop a program for assessing commodities inventory and quality control
- Ensure inventory has proper rotation and proper storage of food products by commodity type.

- Must work in a team, to productively accomplish program goals
- Perform cleaning and dusting of warehouse area as required to maintain established sanitary standards around food commodities, to include a cleaning schedule of mopping, sweeping of high traffic areas needing attention around the grocery store area.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Mandated Reporter: Must become a mandated reporter prior to having contact with children in a job-related capacity and maintain that status throughout employment. This includes completing any necessary training and adhering to all reporting obligations as defined by applicable laws and tribal policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisor requirements for this position.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess physical ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills to complete daily inventory controls and also possess knowledge of office machines to run a warehouse.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Or
- 2 years related experience and or training
Other Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and oral communication skills.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Fleet Policy.
The successful candidate must pass a drug test and a PL 101-630 background check prior to employment.
