Tribal Police Arrest Two in Alleged Underage Alcohol Sales

As a result of an ongoing investigation, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police conducted a search warrant on July 7, 2011, at a residence located at 1226 State Route 37, Akwesasne. Two male suspects were identified and arrested for alleged sales of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 years. The search resulted in the seizure of 12 cases of beer, numerous bottles of liquor, drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash.

John “Buddah” Lazore was charged with three counts of “Unlawfully Dealing with a Child.” Lazore was arraigned before the Hon. Judge Frank Lacerenza and remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $2,000.00 cash bail or $4,000.00 bond.

Eric S. White charged with two counts of “Unlawfully Dealing with a Child.” White was also arraigned before the Hon. Judge Frank Lacerenza. White plead guilty and was remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $1,000.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 bond. Eric S. White will appear on September 17, 2011 for sentencing.

Both White and Lazore were released on conditions to abstain from alcohol and drugs, must submit to and pass a drug and alcohol screening, have no contact with anyone under 21 years of age unless supervised, be of good behavior, remain in the County and must notify Courts if leaving the County.
