Tribe to Provide Heating Assistance Allotment

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe has authorized an allotment for Tribal members residing within the jurisdiction of the SRMT (as defined by the Treaty of 1796) heating assistance to be distributed in January 2012 to eligible households who have completed an application prior to the established deadline.

In order to be eligible for the fuel allotment program, Tribal members must be residing within the jurisdiction of the SRMT (as defined by the Treaty of 1796). The applicant must be responsible for the payment of the households heating source account, must provide their current Tribal identification card, two proofs of residency and the heating source account information for a SRMT licensed home heating dealer or service vendor.

The allotment for Tribal members residing within the jurisdiction of the SRMT (as defined by the Treaty of 1796) and utilizing a licensed SRMT home heating delivery service is eight hundred ($800) dollars.

Applications may be completed at the SRMT Compliance Department from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Food Distribution 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning Monday, November 28, 2011 until Friday, December 30, 2011.
