Tribal Police Arrest Two Suspects in Separate Incidents

On March 12, 2013 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police arrested Matthew J. Ireland, 26 of Akwesasne/Hogansburg NY. Mr. Ireland has been charged with Forcible Touching, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment in the Second Degree. Charges are stemming from an alleged incident that occurred on March 5, 2013. Mr. Ireland was arraigned at the Bombay Town Court and later released on his own recognizance to appear at a later court date.
On March 18, 2013 Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police arrested Alex R. Tarbell 30, of Akwesasne/Hogansburg NY. Mr. Tarbell has been charged with Strangulation Second Degree, Reckless Endangerment First Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Charges are stemming from an alleged incident that occurred on January 28, 2013 at 26 Herne Road Akwesasne/Hogansburg NY where Mr. Tarbell was in care of a 17-month old child. Mr. Tarbell was arraigned at Bombay Town Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail on $5,000 cash and $10,000 bail.
