Tribe Announces CITGO/Citizen’s Energy Fuel Assistance for 2013

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe is pleased to announce that the CITGO Petroleum and Citizens Energy have awarded funding to assist Tribal Members. The program will provide a one-time benefit of $240 toward the applicant’s heating source supplier for heating assistance to 192 households that meet all eligibility guidelines. The 2013 CITGO Petroleum Home Heating Assistance program has developed eligibility guidelines for administrators to utilize for this year’s awards.

This year’s program guidelines are as follows:

1. Must be an enrolled member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe
2. Must be within the jurisdiction of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe
3. Must provide a heating assistance supplier invoice or statement
4. Eligible beneficiaries must have qualified for LIHEAP
5. A LIHEAP approval letter for 2013 must be presented prior to the completion of an application

Applications will be available starting Monday March 11, 2013 at the SRMT Compliance Department on a first-come first-serve basis. Applicants must provide all required information prior to completing an application. Awards are made on a first-come, first-serve basis.
