Tribe to Provide Heating Assistance

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe has authorized an allotment of funds for heating assistance to be allocated on January 6, 2014 to eligible households residing within the Tribes jurisdiction. Assistance requires a new application be received by Wednesday, December 31 2013.
Eligibility for the fuel allotment / heating assistance includes the following:
- the applicant must reside within the jurisdiction of the SRMT
- applicants must be responsible for payment of the household’s heating source account
- applicants must provide current Tribal identification card, two proofs of residency and heating source account information for a SRMT licensed home heating dealer or service vendor
The allotment for eligible Tribal members is eight hundred ($800.00) dollars.
Applications must be completed at the SRMT Compliance Department weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or at Food Distribution from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applications are available beginning Monday December 2, 2013 until Wednesday December 31, 2013.
