Tribal Police Credit K9 Unit for Marijuana Arrest

On Saturday May 10, 2014 the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police arrested Reymond Loraespinosa, 25, of Bronx, NY and charged him with Criminal Possession of Marijuana First Degree, a Class C Felony.The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop on State Route 37.The Tribal Police’s K9, Beny Ward, was utilized and led to a positive K9 alert. K9 Beny Ward located 65.9 lbs of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle and subsequently ended with the arrest of Mr. Loraespinosa.Mr. Loraespinosa was charged with Failure to Keep Right and Criminal Possession of Marijuana First Degree.Mr. Loraespinosa was processed, arraigned at Bombay Town Court and then remanded to Franklin County Jail on $15,000.00 cash bail/$30,000.00 bond.
