Tribe Announces Fall Tribal Heating Assistance

AKWESASNE, NY—– The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council has approved an allotment of heating assistance to help tribal members with the upcoming fall heating season. Beginning on Seskehko:wa/September 1, 2015; allocations will be made available through the 2015 Tribal Heating Assistance Budget to the following eligible households:
- Tribal members age 60 and over and received an allocation for the January 2015 Tribal Heating Assistance Program shall receive up to $700.
- Tribal members age 59 and under and received an allocation in January 2015 Tribal Heating Assistance Program shall receive up to $250.
Tribal members should contact their heating supplier to confirm their eligibility and, if needed, to schedule a delivery of home heating fuel at their convenience. Should tribal members have any questions, they may contact the SRMT Compliance Department at (518) 358–2272.
