2017 Tribal Budget Community Consultation Meeting

Akwesasne, NY — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe invites tribal members to a public meeting as part of the 2017 tribal operating budget process. Community consultation on the 2017 calendar year budget will be welcomed at this special meeting to be held on Ohiari:ha/June 15, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. in the Community Building Lobby.
The 2017 Annual Tribal Budget has NOT been developed at this time; the purpose of the meeting is to gain membership’s input into the organization’s operating budget prior to its development. Tribal members are encouraged to share ideas related to improving revenues, operating efficiencies, program enhancements and the budget process itself.
In accordance with the SRMT Tribal Procedures Act, the Draft 2017 Annual Tribal Budget will be presented at a public meeting to be held no later than November 15, 2016, which will be followed by a fifteen (15) day comment period for tribal members to provide their comments and concerns. A second public meeting will be held, at which time the Tribal Council will respond to any public comments received.
