Annual Boom Deployment Drill and Emergency Exercise at Kana:takon Recreation August 23-24 2016

Territory of Akwesasne –The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) and the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe (SRMT) will host the Annual Boom Deployment Drill and Emergency Exercise August 23‐24, 2016. This exercise will be taking place at the Kana:takon Recreation and there will be actual boom deployment on the St. Lawrence River.
Various emergency response agencies will be stationed at the community dock located directly behind the Sweetgrass Manor. For the health and safety of our community members, we respectfully request that you do not approach the community dock while emergency responders are loading, unloading, docking and/or launching boats and equipment. There will be a reporting area where signing in and out will be required for the safety of all participants.
